Revamping of the heating sytem of an existing continuous car botton reheating furnace for ingots, the existing heating equipment was based on front and lateral fired burners. The revamping was based on “radiant roof” heating equipment with burners on roof which gives to hte furnace better temperature uniformity and higher heating capacity.
