Production increase of an existing Rotary Hearth Furnace up to 56 ton/h for the reheating of steel ingots. The existing furnace was of a capacity of 40 ton/h. The revamping was based on the installation of regenerative burners on the heating zones increasing the heating capacity allowing to increase production rate. Besides the production increase, the system also obtained lower specific fuel consumption per produced ton thanks to the regenerative technology.
